TechniSat Digital presents the SkyStar USB 2 HD CI - a complete digital television solution for notebooks and PCs. The SkyStar USB 2 HD CI conforms to both DVB-S and DVB-S2 standards facilitating reception of radio, SDTV and HDTV services via satellite with the added feature of a CI slot for Pay TV services.
The CI slot allows the use of a Conditional Access Module (CAM) for the decryption of Pay TV services in association with a smartcard and subscription. CAMs are available for all common conditional access systems in the Pay TV market such as Viaccess, Conax and Irdeto. Therefore, the SkyStar USB 2 HD CI has the flexibility to operate with numerous encryption systems.
In common with all the TechniSat Skystar products, the SkyStar USB 2 HD CI offers TechniSat's Timeshift feature, PVR functionality utilising the PC or notebook hard disk, EPG and Videotext. The Skystar USB 2 HD CI also supports DiSEqC 1.2.
The TechniSat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI offers a compelling and feature-rich solution for the enjoyment of both standard and high definition programming with the advantage of Pay TV capability.
The SkyStar USB 2 HD CI package comes equipped with the USB box, installation CD including DVBViewer TE (TechniSat Edition) software, Main Concept EVE v2 video editing software and BDA driver, USB cable, power supply and remote control.
In addition to the TV and radio programmes of conventional television with SkyStar USB 2 HD CI you will also receive the brilliant image and sound worlds of new high-resolution television (HDTV).
HDTV offers television enjoyment in a hitherto unheard of quality. The crystal-clear pictures are more rich in detail, the colours are lusher and the contours sharper. The sound quality is excellent and impresses with its excellent, room-filling resonance.
Equipment
Included in the first-class equipment of the SkyStar USB 2 HD CI are, amongst other features, the timeshift function with which time-delayed viewing is possible, the free-of-charge programme information service "SiehFern INFO" which programme previews for up to seven days can be accessed and the videotext function which provides access to all important news items at any time of day.

And finally you are provided with a CI fitting slot with which, when using the appropriate CI module, it is possible to receive encrypted programmes.
